Every sword that is used for heavy contact training is consumable item. Repetitive striking will eventually break down any tool. Having synthetic swords in your armory allows for a very cheap and dispensable tool for heavy and repetitive work that shorten the life of your steel blades.

Bokken literally means "wooden sword" however the term has become synonymous with practice training swords within Japanese sword arts. This bokken is made of sturdy polypropylene and will hold up over many months or years of heavy bag or pell work, solo drills and forms, and partner exercises and sparring.

This is our Kokatana (Junior) size, about 33cm in length, and makes a great training companion for your other bokken, or as a primary training weapon for young samurai.
