A traditional style Japanese martial arts belt or sash made with sturdy cotton fabric and tied tightly to help carry the weight of the samurai’s swords.
Obi are a thin and stiff belt or sash popular among kenjutsu, iaido, and battojutsu practitioners. This martial arts belt is helpful for carrying the weight of the swords worn by many practitioners of the traditional Japanese martial arts.
Our Obi are made with a strong 80/20 cotton-poly blend. The colors and designs are sublimated into the material to produce bright and long lasting colors. Our obi are approximately 3.5 inches wide and 148 inches long (9cm x 375cm).
The Akado Obi come in 9 different color combinations:
